Looking good! That spot of "lightning" will help balance the other spot when all is said and done. It sure upstages the lowly window, doesn't it. So can we call it done for your blocks or do you have a few rogue loners lurking? Another long day, had to correct that Beauty block! Gnight. G

That orange does look great in the block! It's funny how it doesn't look as bright. Maybe because there is less of it. Anyway it will help balance out the other one. I think your Windows block is very pretty!

You are so close to the end, aren't you! I can't wait to see your quilt put together!!!

QNonnie and OKSGlad ... Thanks to my loyal fan club members for all your kind words!! I think three things happened that helped put that lightning into submission a little... less of it in a piece, not as stark of a difference from the orange to the red as the black, and the mottling of the red.

I did do #111 last night ... so officially all 111 are done. Additionally, there'll be a 4-H block and a Log Cabin that I'll do to post with it. Then there'll just be the 4th #68 Postage Stamp to do with the last bunch of fabrics. If I've counted right, I'll have just the right number! If not, I'll have to recreate a little ... HSTs? or if short, a double block. I think I'm OK though.

So close ... and yet so far!! ... and a long way to go with the sashing etc. I haven't heard yet whether my LQS has managed to get the fabric we found the other day on her sample cards.

OKSGlad ... I've been wondering if you were able to sleep last night after your great success at the auction?

Welcome MapleView!!!! ... a name like that could mean you could be located most anywhere in Ontario!!
A special WELCOME indeed ... being that I also hail from this great province. (I'm in the Greater GTA-West!)

You're going to love this Board. There's only one problem ... it's very addictive, and sometimes you get hooked so hard that you miss out on the valued sewing time!

If you like this thread ... you might like to check out the other FWS threads. Also, there's a Pony Club quilt-along that's just nicely started. Maybe you'd like to saddle up and ride along with us in the venture??

Would sure love to have another Ontarian along in the Pony Club!!

Great job as usual...you do very nice on your blocks of matching corners and pieces. Also love the colors you use.

I agree QNS. A nice simple block and kudos to your job on the more complex one.

Oh so beautiful ... simplicity and complex represented in these two!
Anael, the more I see your whites ... the more I know I "need" work with whites ... not that I need more to do!
