Well kids I think the light bulb finally came on in this thick head of mine...went to Joanns and picked up june taylor foundation paper for PP, its like a fusible web, you just print your pattern right on it. Now I know some of you are going to say "duh dee" but I think I ask this question before about what paper to use &
never saw a answer...so I am anxious to finally start these blocks. So many beautiful inspiring blocks being posted.

I print my pp projects on Tracing Paper. I purchase it at Hobby Lobby when I have 40% off coupon. I trim the 9x12 size paper to 8 1/2 x 12 and print right on the paper. The paper is in the Art dept. I simply can't make a straight block without pp. I really love it, and try to convert as many patterns as I can to pp. (50 sheets for $4.99 w/coupon would be only $2.99) Works for me.

I think your farmhouse is simply wonderful and has character! Please don't be discouraged. BTW, I still can not find the missing piece. You did a great job!

Done with my Farmhouse. That right porch post is a little off, maybe I'll add something to the top of it. I have a tiny black button for the doorknob.

Doorknob is a great idea to use button! Might want to do a climbing vine to "hide top of post. or maybe a squirrel on top of porch roof/post.

Oh my gosh...I want to smack my head against the wall!!! I traced my church onto freezer paper and paper pieced that way. I think that's why I have been so slow to start the farmhouse...dreading all the tracing. I'm going to get my shower and head out for some paper! Thanks everyone!!!

I've been tempted to try the washable disappearing PP but each time I pick it up I put it back...Even with coupon for 1/2 off which would still be 6.00...photocopy paper works fine for me.
when you use a 1.5 stitch length it tears off just fine

I've used the web-like one and it was pretty good, I like it the best actually. Carol Doak (sp) paper is very thin and tears easily. Right now I'm just using regular printer paper and yep, with a 1.5 stitch length there is no problem tearing it.
