Here are my friendship stars. I'm planning a largish quilt from them so I am going to make 2 in every month, except for one month when I will make 3 - not sure which month that will be though. I want to have 25 blocks and do a 5 by 5 configuration.

I've been so inspired by everyone's wonderful stars - I was having a hard time trying to decide which way to go with mine. I love the paper pieced version by BizzieLizzie. I love the ones with the 4-patches in the corners.... ultimately, I decided to keep mine simple. My blocks are going to be from blue and purple batiks on a white background and I thought they would be really striking if they were simple. I love how they turned out!

My January BOM Stars - The one on the right is much prettier in person!

ok, well I finished my star today, and as I was strolling back through the pages I noticed that mine looks a lot like lindyline's lol not intentionaly, but here it is also a sneak peek at the colors for the next 11

they will all have the black background and the stars will be the brightest colored batiks I can find (the ones shown could change if I find some BRIGHTER)
