I was informed that I probably wasn't using 1/4 scant, which is true, so tried another with scant 1/4". It pays to read and not go by picts. alone.

Cuddly Quilter, Love the material but especially love the butterflies. Where did you get it? It would be perfect for a block in the breast cancer lap quilts I make and donate to patients?

Thanks for the compliment on this material. I originally bought it to do decorative leaves around the border of a quilt i was going to make for my daughter. Since then she has aged and so has her tastes changed..... Hoffman Challenge 2007 - Style D610 by Hoffman California Int Fabrics. Last year i saw they still had. GOOD LUCK. I am hoping i have enough for all my 12 blocks and i only have ONE METRE..........yipes

Good luck with your lap quilts

I was thinking the same thing about the 12" squares. I was thinking that a person could reduce all of them but that would be too complicated for me. If it were all paper piecing you could just reduce on the printer but for others, I'm not experienced enough to figure them all out. On second thought, I guess 12" sounds just fine. :-D

My pleasure, glad you got there in the end! It's looking really nice. In fact all your stars are gorgeous!
