Patti, my D-7 and I-1 are kinda similar to yours, at least we were on the same mind set, as you will see when I post mine later...finishing the tri, maybe later today.

Janstar, love those reds! Your construction always looks like perfection!
Well, I can't wait to see yours Meredith. These weren't my favorite blocks and I'm not crazy about my tri...but what the heck, they are done and unless they jump out at me when I lay out the group this time...they are staying. I think there will always be blocks that I like more than others in this quilt. As a matter of fact...it changes everytime I lay them out!

Patti, I have a few blocks marked for rework, that I don't like for different reasons, most of time, my fabric choices or I realized I could have constructed differently. However, this is starting to feel like building a house, you are just never happy 100% with all of it, and the few that I am not thrilled with may just melt into the quilt by the end and I may be even more delighted to be done and to simply enjoy the finished quilt! I do think this is going to be a very special quilt to me when its finished!

  Our blocks do look pretty similar this week Meredith! It must be "great minds and all that silliness"... I agree...the last time I laid mine out though, I'll have to admit that some that I don't care for on their own do amazing things when they are put into the quilt as a "whole"..so we'll have to see.

And I don't see anything wrong with the top of your tri.

Yes, Patti..."and all that"

I have decided I am not going to rework any blocks until close to the end unless the "quilt" talks to me about a block that just doesn't fit!

You nailed it, about the blocks, how some are not great individually, and then how they become amazing as a group!

Love your blocks Wil! The tri looks fine! I don't like the bottom of mine and may put it on a redo list.
