Its nice to see you back working as you know I love your blocks! These are no exception. Did you tell us what your sashing fabric is going to be??? Is it that light color that you used in parts of this set?

  I didn't think that through, but yes, I am a mother in law...wow! My daughter is 28 and she did kiss a few frogs before she found her prince! There were a couple along the way, thank goodness, they are history...

I'm undecided about the sashing. I was thinking I would use the four creams (in this fabric line) for the blank tris. I am considering one of my dark greens or blacks for the cornerstones. But, I can't really say until I lay out all the finished blocks! Decisions, decisions...

What are your thoughts on your quilt for the sashings, cornerstones and blank tris?

Using the 4 creams is an interesting thought! I went the other direction and I am using a dark chocolate brown from another of the Moda Kansas Troubles line...Wildflower seranade. I'm not sure about the cornerstones. I'll have to decide when I lay the whole thing out.

I'm going with the dark chocolate for the sashing and the tris since I liked Lacelady's idea of not using the scrappy tris for the "betweens".

I'm hoping that I don't regret the decisions since I've already bought the fabric. I might lay out everything that I've done so far on the sashing fabric at the end of this 6 week group to see how it is looking so far....I'm anxious!!

Patti, I'm sure it will look great, and dark chocolate sounds so yummy! That Farmers Wife Sampler Quilt, on the book cover, has chocolate sashings and border trim, it is very pretty.

Do share the pic with the blocks on your new fabric! You know that discussion about how we see our work, somehow it looks different (always better) in a pic!
