    OK...finally...finally...finally I did the last kite. I copied Lesley by putting the "label" info on the petals, then I flipped through this thread again and thought...man...I should have done the bottom star like Meredith (I love yours!)

    Anyway, its done now and here she is...

    A question for you who have put yours together though...did you attach the kite to the border prior to sewing the the borders to the quilt or after????

    Thanks! I got all the trapunto padding sewn today, tonight I'll trim the excess and start sewing the regular W & N batting pieces to the back. I'm thinking about doing the "normal" quilting on the trapunto tris after I get the back put on. Since it is just the border, it wouldn't be hard to do it on the machine (which is how I intent to do the quilting on these anyway). Whadda ya'll think?

    sounds like a plan to me Patti. As you say the border wouldn´t be hard to do on the machine, I say go for it Ekke :thumbup:

    Your kite looks very nice Patti! Your getting so close to the end. I haven't been on here for several days because Iv'e been hand sewing. Quite addicting isn't it?

    Yes Jan...I got very addicted to doing them. Its so easy to tuck a couple in a baggie along with some threaded needles and work on them anywhere too!
