Sandpat, actually the lady reminds me of my mother, she had dark auburn hair and was very feminine, we lost her in 1979 to breast cancer, she was only 41. I will always miss her. I have blonde hair with some gray that I cover up! I think that picture is such a hoot, I laughed out loud when I saw it!!! :) It totally took me back to my childhood looking at it...the machine pictured is idential to the one I learned to sew on that belonged to my grandmother!

  You know Wil, I remember my Mom wearing her hair like that and the machine resembles the Kenmore that my Mom had. She "tried" to teach me to sew...but I'd have nothing to do with it. I was a true "tom boy".. Now if you tell me that your Mom wore a dress like that when she sewed....

My mother didn't sew, she didn't over dress either, but she did always have her hair fixed and wore some lipstick! I remember most that she loved all animals and had a quick easy laugh! Now, I think my grandmother sewed because she felt she was supposed to be good at it, but looking back, I'm not so sure she enjoyed it like I have...

Anyway, I don't think Singer will mind my reviving this old ad for their Singer 401, some people think today, that was their best machine!

Put a dash between the I-11. There are three to choose from.

I hope so. If I try really hard and not do anything else I should be able to do one or two at least a day. It is a matter of getting the days.
