The diamond I sort of paper pieced on the fly. I cut the 4 square diamond shapes from the software/book pattern after making several copies.

Then I cut the diamond shape in half and pieced to be sure I got those weird angles just right for each piece, sewed the 2 sides of the 4 square diamond together and appliqued on a completed 4 square background.

Easier than it looks, girls. The one in my top left was appliqued just at the top of the heart shapes to triangle background shapes. Since the applique would be hidden in the seam allowance anyway, I just pieced that part so it goes faster than it looks...if that makes sense.

Thank you for the tips! I haven't even started mine yet! I have all the arc done for Japanese Fans. The next time I sit at the sewing machine it will be with Jane! LOL

Very nice Wil! I thought about using more colors with the diamond block, and I like what you did with the Rose of Sharing. Good lookin' blocks. I just have the triangle to do and I will post mine!
