Patti, Block B11 is machine pieced, on the curve, not appliqued. Everything is machine sewn! :) :) Thanks!

Wow, I have avoided machining curves on this quilt - all of mine have been appliqued, because I am more comfortable with hand sewing. Lovely set, and the colours are so restful.

I tried to sew mine and decided to applique it because mine sure didn't turn out looking like yours!! I think I need to spend some time in my LQS getting some pointers on sewing curves...

Lesley & Patti, thanks again, I drool over all the hand applique, I just can't do it well, and then I pay dearly later when I do try. One of my blocks has hand applique and rest are hand sewn. Hand stitches are the best, so lovely, even when they are not perfect!

Patti, these curves are so small, not too bad...Use several pins, start with pinning the ends, then the middle and start easing the fullness and pin some more, about every 1/2 inch with these little gems! Usually, I lay the fullest part on the bottom, depends how smooth it looks, sew carefully, slowly and adjust and smooth as you go. TADA, your done!
