Want a laugh? Today I bombed along, managed 3, however I put one block together which happened to be the little basket (the one thats usually shown on its side) cut all the pieces out and sewed them ever so carefully together. Looked at it and thought, I know its on its side but it looks awfully big. YEP you´ve got it, I printed it out in the 5 x 8 size DAH

It looks lovely now in the 4.5 x 4.5 size really dainty LOL.

Only going forward to get all the Applique blocks so that I can take them with me to hospital.

Well thanks for your support, here are my week 5 pics, for some reason they have come out a bit dark on the pic! By the way the stitching at the corners are just tacks to hold the paper still. I have certainly fallen desperately in love with hand applique!!

Oh Dear Jane - week 5

Sara, your blocks are stunning -Love how the triangle came out..looks flawless!

Kwhite, love your blocks too! They are so sunny and cheerful - I'd say the pink and red are my favorites of the lot!

This puts a number of you ahead of the game! Way to go. Soon we'll be on "break" and you can redo whatever you want, or just enjoy your quilting freedom...or work ahead! Quilter's choice.

Wow everyone's blocks look so lovely. This will be my first time to applique. I hope when I get to week 5 my blocks are half as nice as yours.
