I've done New York Beauty and Indian Orange Peel which were both all about curved piecing and I had no problem (they actually turned out pretty awesome). These 4.5 inch curves are challenging!

You're so sweet for making me feel better. I decided to skip the curves for this week, too. Who knows, maybe my Jane will be all paper pieced and applique!

I've got my IOP up on the wall, and am taking a class where I'm working on it. I expect to be done with the top in the next 6-8 weeks. It's slow going I'll tell you! I've got three arcs to go to finish the basic center. Then I'll sew that together, then start piecing the outside borders. Whew...it's a very piece-intensive quilt.

Sandpat! I didn't mean to sound like a show off! It's just hard to understand why after doing those quilts I'm having such a hard time with these curtves unless it's that they are so much smaller. I am going to persevere and hopeful my little curves will improve with time. Hugs, Sheree

I can't wait to see it Rachel! IOP is crazy piecing but the end result is gorgeous. I have pics of mine (brown & aqua) somewhere here whcih is hanging in my bedroom.
I'm waiting for fabric to start Judy Neimeyers Japanese Fans. I had everything fabric wise but needed some black batik. Can't wait to start that one.

Sheree...I do hope you know I was really just teasing!!!! I just want to do my curves as well as you do! I might need to come visit so I can get some pointers.

OK...I'll bite and show my ignorance...what is the quilt you are talking about Esq?

I don't know why the stuff I've marked to watch never let me know when there is a new post. GRRR.

Woke up this morning and realized that I had only done 1 block this week and needed to get with it to stay up to date. So after working on them on and off all day here they are.

I also realized my triangle is not correct, it is missing the strips on the side. When I measured and squared it up I thought I was way off and took it apart and added more fabric. Silly me! Lesson learned, slow down and refer to the book when thing don't work out quite right.
