you need either the book or the software in order to make jane. my preference is the software but there are some who are using the book.

Hi there, the book and software are the main things as said before it comes with a downloadable CD which has all the patterns, you can buy from JoAnnes or Amazon, think I paid around 30$. Book is called "Dear Jane Quilt Design Software" just download on to your computer. You can go from there. we have all followed a Schedule but its up to you how you do it.
Good Luck its been a long old journey for us but we are nearly there, but we always welcome newcomers so join us and we can helpyou along the way.

Hi Dick! Hop over to Amazon or somewhere and order the Dear Jane EQ software. Its a stand alone, so you don't have to have EQ to use it. You'll be able to print out all the patterns for each block- foundation patterns to paper piece, or rotary cutting instructions, or templates...you can choose. There is a virtual section for Dear Jane here on the board. The original thread has lots of information on how to get started towards the beginning of the thread. We posted pics each week and there is some discussion about issues that we might have had with the blocks. We'll also be more than happy to help you out, but I gotta say, I've looked at some of the quilts you've made and you will do just fine! I'm betting that your Dear Jane will be spectacular!

Its a learning curve, so follow all the times through all the weeks with us. Their are some rather difficult blocks so help and how we all managed to do them is on these weeks. Good Luck.

Please post so we can follow all your progress you too Pookie Okie

I just printed a calendar for my DJ. I will use it to keep me on track. So many projects.......so little time...... but I'm determined to have a record of my "new addiction" I have one week to decide what colorway to use, I don't like scrappy but may use scraps for backing. I'm seriously considering muslim background. My goal is to use my stash and quilt as I go with stitch in the ditch and echo quilting. BTW pretty kitty
