I've got mine all cut out ready to sew tomorrow! I would have liked to have done it today but had the family over for a meal!
Toni, I'm sure you'll enjoy the BOM's they really are good practice!

This practice on the BOM will maybe make me more confident about making more complex quilts. :) This hobby is very addicting... :D
Toni, what quilters cache never shows you is the short cut to their directions.

For this block, if you sew a strip of dark and medium 2 1/2 inch wide fabrics together, you will save yourself a lot of time on those 4 patch pieces.

And if you want a whole quilt from this block, you would cut 4 1/2 inch wide strips of the dark and sew each to a 2 1/2 inch strip of the medium to cut the pieces in step 6.

And instead of piecing a dark 4 1/2 with a dark 2 1/2, just cut a 6 1/2 inch piece of dark for step 7. Less sewing and you get the same results.

Pattern printed and thinking of color scheme. Is there anyway to get the fabric requirments if one wanted to do an entire quilt as shown in picture. marieg

I shouldn't have looked. I knew I shouldn't have looked. But I did and I really like this block! I've already got too many projects going but what the heck, I printed out the instructions. It would make a striking miniature! I love the structure of the block and am looking forward to making this. Thank you.

Last year was pink! This year will be bright, clear primary and secondary colors. I'm going to liven things up in my sewing room! :D
