I can't say I am any to happy about this one. this was a bit difficult for me. It is a little off here and there. In this case it looks better here than in the picture. I do have to rip out one block as I can see it is backward lol . This is as good as it gets!  8)

I had a close up but this is close as I want to look at it.LOL

I'm loving those fabrics too, Ruth! Tricky block, but you mastered it! I can't wait to see your finished quilt. It's going to be a stunner!

ruth, i think your block is still quite pretty. AND it has character. :P

i wonder sometimes why we (and this includes me) worry so much about imperfections. there are designers out there who create designs based on traditional blocks that are purposely pieced "out of wacK". everybody thinks they're so fun and clever. pay piles for the patterns. personally, i think that proves the rest of us just have a natural talent for whimsy.

I think your colors are so pretty together, Ruth. I really like that soft green. I must look for something similar to it for my stash.

And don't overworry about mistakes. I think the backwards patch gives it character. Besides, how can we learn and grow in our skills if we are never willing to make make mistakes? :)

Dawn, I challenge you to try it.

    Done!

I've changed colors, again, for my BOM blocks. Now I have to go make a new January 1, block. But I like these colors much better.

Fun block, Connie. Thanks for finding it for us.
