Thats it toni don't give up. I know you can do this, after i cut all my pieces for a bom.... i lay them down just how it looks in pattern, then start sewing them together. This might help you. I've been wanting to do Tim's star (paper pieced) YIKES it really scares me, i've never done pp. So i'm going to bite down and go for it. You can do this....Just take a deep breath and go for it. Happy sewing.

    Denise I love tose fabrics.
Toni, I made a quilt out of the first block no problem, then I made this block no problem. Yesterday I decided to make another block 1 out of fabrics used in block 2. It took me like 2 hours I kept sewing it wrong, it was mess. marie :?:

Everyone has such pretty blocks I simply had to download the pattern. I'll drift back down to my quilt room soon and find some colors for it. You ladies sure do inspire me!

Well I conquered the block. I had some serious help with the seam ripper and hubbys help on drawing the straight lines. It took me what seemed like forever. It is a good thing I never claimed to be a lady because I was cursing to myself like a sailor...lol. The pic doesn't bring the colors out as well as they look though. The green and purple are more colorful in person and they match the floral nicely. I didn't get a real close up because there are plenty of flaws that I would rather conceal...lol. Anyway I didn't give up like I threatened...lol.

I sure hope whoever has the next months BOM has some mercy on flunkies like me.... :)

    Toni,
    You did great!
Beautiful colors! Great points! You even have a seam allowance around the outside points (I always lose mine for some reason!). With work like this you aren't considered a beginner any more! I glad you persevered! Good job!!

Guess what I bought today. A new seam ripper! I think my other are getting a tad dull! Don't know why? It's not like I over use them!!!
