I have to admit that I like both of the ways you have shown us, that you arranged to put your blocks together. You should go with the one that please's you the most, but any one of them would be BEAUTFIUL!! Very nice job making your project.

OKsew - that looks great. This mystery was designed to have a friendship star in the center of the blocks, but if those of you like it the other way, go ahead and put it together that way. No quilt police here.

Jaba - love it, terrific solution if you didn't like all your blocks in the same quilt. And great idea for another border and the binding. What are you going to make with the other set of blocks?

Sunliten, let us know that you traveled safely, okay?
No progress for me on getting this quilt done, but sure enjoy seeing the progress of everyone else. We have had two deaths in as many weeks and one more expected any time (cancer and in hospice). Two were family, one a church friend. Don't even have the tree decorated, but will get with it after Mom's quilting group has their "do" at her house on Tuesday. So glad to see these beautiful quilts!

Home.....you all are really good.....there was never any traffic where I was...... made great time, bought coffee and a scone and sat on the beach(bench) and enjoyed the break in the rain....actually some sunshine...then drove back to the church for the 12 o'clock Mass and surprise that is the one my DGS,DGDIL and the DGGB were attending so I got to hold the baby (bliss) Then the Baptism was 1/2 hour later and there were 50 people all for this one baby, It was beautiful as everyone was envolved...............Thank You for kind thoughts and it was a really perfect day.

the rain held off, but now it is pouring.....

Judy I hope I can clarify something. your design is great your lesson is great and sometimes well fabric that looks great together sucks in the bigger picture? it is the fabrics fault (grin). Tricky stuff and all. I love the fact I did it personally. The challenge the upchallenge each week to keep up and falling so far behind and then tada reaching the end part. I have just five more squares to sew together and I will get my rows done and posted. I can taste it.. I know I can do it!

the baptism sounded lovely. to have fifty people behind, supporting this one child.. what a lucky baby. And what lucky people to share in this joy. Shoot you just brought me back to my own children oh so 27 yrs ago this coming Jan. wow how nice a memory. the screams were terrific. That boy of mine, what a set of lungs.

well iron chef is almost over time to go sew a few blocks or all of them!

I don't mind Sulabug, I just really didn't like my combo before and the way it looked. I liked this material so much, didn't want to waste it and think my little great grand daughter will love it someday, she's only 8 months. I going to do the same thing on the turquoise one too. And then, you'll never believe this, put the two pinky ones that I had going with these and they look pretty good together, so I will actually end up with one quilt like the pattern was suppose to be in the first place. Took me long enough to get to it though!! I really liked the pattern that we had and would love to make a black and white one in the future. Need to get this one pressed and on the long arm so I can get it quilted. The butterflies are the first things I've done on the embroidery machine ever so I got that fear out of the way too. All in all, fantastic train ride. We have a great teacher too, we're so lucky.

First of all, thank you - glad you had a nice time. And Second - of course it is the fabric's fault!

And Third I will apologize for making a mystery quilt with so many colors. Someone told me in a PM (and not very nicely, sorry to say) I should only do a mystery with 3 or 4 colors, but that didn't work with the pattern I wanted to share with everyone. But even though I thought jaba's color looked nice on the computer, in person she must not have been happy and for that I do feel bad. But she came up with a fabulous solution with her 9-patch. Perhaps some of you, unhappy with the way the blocks look, can do something like that. And again, I am so sorry to have dissapointed some of you.

You didn't disappoint me at all!! The think it's a terrific pattern and will do a black and white one for sure. My selection , my choices..not yours Judy please do not feel bad, you have no reason to at all. You're a great hostess, the banter on the train was great, food yummy, and all that "bull" going around who can resist such a great time. Thank you so much for putting a little happy in my days. psst.....when's the next one, after the new year's please.
