I already had the chocolate and it didn't make me feel one bit better Sunliten LOL I am just so glad I reread the instructions before I cut the other two strata strips. So only lost 2.5 inches of each fabric. Somedays you're the windshield and some days you're the bug. I'm the bug today.

I really want to do this, but I don't have a stash yet. DH will kill me if I try to order any more fabric right now, since I've been getting it for the babies Christmas quilts.

Maybe I can scrounge up something... It will clash badly, but practice is practice, right??

LoupEsprit go for scrappy girl. A design may not stand out but you'd get the practice and have a couch quilt. Plus you'd be using up your leftovers. My kids get the scraps for drag arounds. I do it all the time. Like the stuff I cut yest LOL whooops Hugsss Retta in oh so nice weather Florida.

Well, I cut an extra strata; just did it the same as the others--just needed the 6 to add to the others...no big deal! Got the long strips done, too. Thank you for the link on putting together bias binding (I had not done it before)...really helped! Learned something new & that's a good thing! I am really liking all these colors together for my granddaughter's graduation quilt...hope she likes it too. Probably won't get quilted for awhile...I do have 2 more years to finish it! Craftshow for the next 2 days, so will get the clue on Sunday.

I am so enjoying this mystery ride. I can't begin to imagine what it will end up as but the choices of fabric are amazing. If I wasn't working so hard on trying to finish a quilt for December 13th I would be trying my hand at it too. I will just post a half finished square of the one I am working on. I have a dear friend who lives in England that loves fighter jets. He collects pictures of them all the time. One day while visiting this past summer we went out for the day to Harry Potter theater, I had his brother in law take pictures of his pictures, and put them on a stick. I printed them off on cloth when I got home and am making a quilt with them. On this square I still have a border of battleship gray to put around the outside. I am doing a simple quilting of stitch in the ditch and then will quilt as you go to finish it. I am relatively new to quilting so have to keep it simple so I can get it done before he comes to visit. A Christmas present, so can't be seen working on it.

Great job on color choices you ladies are doing on this mystery, some I would never have thought would go together are looking reallly good. Have to join the next one.............................there will be a next one, right Judy?? LOL

Thanks for the compliment. I wonder how long he will look at it before he realizes that the jets are from his own wall? What do you think, lol? No, the middle border is not glow in the dark, I tried to get some like that, but couldn't find what I wanted. The other blue came from a piece that his daughter sent me from England. I will see if I can get the information for you, after I look and see if I have any selvage left on it.
