Very pretty block!! Can't wait to see what y'all come up with.

Good idea Barb! I'm sooo fascinated with paper piecing...scared to death of it...but fascinated none-the-less!!

Ok, i tend to not like following instructions, cus i find instructions hard lol, so i quite often take a pattern, and just "make it my own", by changing it so i'm comfortable doing it. But, seeing as how we all seem to be trying to find an easier version for this block, including myself lol, i have decided, that the original version, as is, has not even been tried yet, and yet we're trying to find an easier version lol. Sooooo, i am actually going to try this, exactly lol, per instructions, and i bet this Y seam is much easier than it looks. Soooo, that is what i'm gonna do right now lol The race is on, and if i can do it with HD, anyone can lol lol lol heeheeheee :)

Hi :D , I had a quick word with Patrice and found we were both thinking along similar lines for making this withou Y-seams and paper piecing. I decided that it would be better if I did something different (more options are always good :P )

Now I know foundation piecing is not very popular but I'm quite partial to the method so decided to do mine all foundation pieced. Below is what the pattern would look like. If any body is really into foundation piecing and wants the pattern, let me know and I'll post it here

Donna, i am doing an original, just like you :) lol But i started it 4 1/2 hours ago, and have been working steady, and am almost finished. I have 3 Y seams done, yeah!!!!! Never done a Y seam in my life, and don't know if i ever want to do one again lol, but i'm almost done lol. I don't know why it takes me so long, i don't know, is it taking you this long to do this block, or just me? lol :) And ive been working steady lol, but will be done in bout half an hour, yeah! :)
