    here is my July block. i'll do it again later in a different color set to make it more like a flower. this rendition goes into a patriotic quilt i'm working on.

    A perfect example of how color placement changes the whole look of a block.

    You're right, brushandthimble, the colour placement really changes things. Nice blocks, everyone.

    Looking at Patrice's makes me think of the 54 40 or fight block.

    It always amazes me how different the "same" block looks when made with different fabrics.
