I have those exact fabrics...lol. I started my first quilt with them but was doing 2 inch squares and was having a hard time aligning seams so I made it into a pillow. Now that I know a little more I may have to get out the scraps and make it into a quilt. I love the colors and your block is beautiful.

Ceannastar, that is lovely - and two of the colors are identical with what I am doing for the tumbling blocks - only the light color is different from what I chose. Haven't heard of the jewel box. Could you put a link or something on the main section of the board to show us what it is?

I tried to put in the link and I guess its no longer there so I copied the 2 pages for you. Glad I always print them out and save them. I also have the picture of the first jewel box I did. This was my first project that wasn't a baby quilt
