That's what they said at mine this morning, too! How funny is that. One of the girls even said she uses a heavy wooden spoon. For the next one, I'm wrapping my hammer in something soft and whamming away!
:-D :-D She also said that, sometimes when she has a lot of seams meeting like that, she trims very close to the seam line where they meet. I'd be afraid of it raveling out, I think. But I may try it on the next one, just to see.

i really love all of the blocks. everyone is so talented. I need all the help I can get to pp so I sent for carol doaks star book. It has a CD with it that teaches her pp teck. She pp from the back side so everything matches. All of the block parts have been sized and she puts them together in number order. A 1/4 seam is cut after each addition. first piece has 1/4" seam made and the second piece is laid on that rt. side up to cover the area and then turned rt side tog. matching 1/4" seam. It sure looks easy the way she dies it. Will give it a try

Mount your horses! Fast ride past needed. I had to rince it out quickly after it was made, managed to get some spots on the center swirl. I missed some of the paper when pealing and I think the ink bleed through when pressing. Boy did those seams go wonky! Anyway here it is. Pigs are cheek to jowel in this block. (groaning at the bad pun) Dixie.

MisDixie, fast riding not needed, your block looks fine! Love those very fun fabrics- good job!

BJ, dakj and Laura-- all yours are beautiful as well. You are going to have some knockout quilts if you keep this up!
