Pheasant, you've got a great star there. Love the contrasts. I only started on mine tonight and am just 1/4 done. But I'm loving doing a block that takes a little more work. If anyone is intimidated by this block, rest assured it's not difficult, and it's FUN.

It was fun to do - now I have to clean up all those threads, and little pieces of paper that didn't make the waste basket!
Green is my favoritest color! And your block is no exception - absolutely lovely. I'm in love with this pattern!

Now this one I'll do!! Well whenever I get cleaned up and straightened out from the flooding last week!
I love all of the stars this month. I know it says Alaskan but to me it looks very tropical! I suppose it depends on the color of fabrics one uses. All are awesome though.

What beautiful stars everyone is making. I enjoy paper-piecing but this was somewhat of a challenge for me. I'm not sure exactly what happened to my block but I thought I'd post the photo so we'd have a "Don't do it this way" block. Leaves one asking, "What the heck?"

I like your block very much - colors go together so well. When doing my block and checking sections to put together I realized I forgot section # 6 - twice - had to rip, rip, rip, and add the little piece of white!

Wow these are so pretty. When I look at the block pattern, I can't see how it goes together that way. Guess I just need to try one to find out. I love the colors used so far. awesome job!

Here is my Alaska Star Block. I did the frog stitch soooo many times on this. I could not put the fabrics facing the right direction for some reason (back of the fabric appeared on the front of the block). Lots of practice.
