    Hi ShellyQ:
Yes, I loved the paper piecing class I took last Monday. I learned alot but the most important thing I learned was I really do NOT like paper piecing. I doubt that I'll do much of it as it kinda drives me a bit nuts altho taking the class did make the whole procedure easier. We paper pieced a sail boat block and a pinwheel block. Glad you liked the Buttercup block. Now that application is more to my liking.

Thank you all for your nice comments.

I remember home ec when only the girls had it! (Long time ago!) That's when you had on quarter of the year in "health", one in "cooking" (when you REALLY learned how to cook), one of "home making", (where you learned to make beds, do dishes properly)((thank God for inventing the dish washer)), and one of "sewing". I remember sewing circles, squares etc. on paper with the machine. That is the only experience I want with "PAPER PIECING"!

Lol Feathers, oh well at least you know and it's handy to have another string to your bow even if you don't want to use it that often :D

I'm with you Lois...HS Home Ec. really was a challenge. I made a blouse with darts & collar and with 6 of us SHARING the sewing machine we'd just have time to get all our stuff out and then pack it all up as the period was over. Took a whole semester to finish the darts and collar and the hemming and sleeves we we got to take home to do! After Home Ec. I didnt' sew for YEARS. I did love the cooking part of Home Ec., however.
