Shelly, thank you so much. My USB ports are damaged, so can't post from my camera. I have to scan the photo in and can't figure out how to do it without it being an attachment. Can you explain it to me? Thanks for the nice comments. I think it looks better in person.

You're very welcome Beachlady. Do you have other ports on the back of your computer you could use. The one on the front of mine doesn't work so I just leave the camera cord plugged into one on the back.Means I can't use my speakers, but heck I prefer my computer noise free anyhow  I don't have a scanner so can't really offer any help with that one, sorry  . I use microsoft office publisher to convert files to JPEG. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but there are some really great techie ladies on here so hopefully someone will have some more helpful suggestions.

So I keep saying I'm gonna do the BOM to get practice. I finally tried one. I think now that I've taken the pattern "for a test run" I'll do a full 4 to make the 12" block for real now. I'm thinking this would be a great pattern for a quilt for my mom or grandma. Not too sure I'm thrilled with the colors but I was a bit rushed. anyhoo here it is....

Beachlady, your block looks so great, and yours too Melissa-Lynn, both very pretty.

I took the one block I made and made it into a coaster for my desk. I just whipped stitched fabric around it to bind it. Looks and works great!
