your demo was understandable but hard for me to follow as a lefty.
Wish I could help you with that but I can' t pick up a left with my left!

that's ok it is very hard for a righty to teach a lefty and vise-versa. i might just try this depending on how my other 7 projects get along.

Thanks JLjack, I've been teaching baltimore applique for more than 15 years. Most of my students get it, but that is with watching me, it was hard to get the right photos where the needle should be, etc.

I'm glad you got it, now try it! Do something small and maybe you'll see it's really easy, with a little practice, you will always get a sharp point.

Andrea, I'll post a pic later tonite,,,, not at home now.

I use the tape in the middle, you can' t needle through it, the thread hangs up on the glue.

Snip a small piece,, usually 1/2", &place it where it will not interfer, depending on the size of the piece to be appliqued.

A leaf may only need 1 piece, in the middle
while a larger flower may take 3 pieces, triangled around the center.

I will be hoome around 8 & will post phooto then
Here is a photo of the tape
Hi Peg,
Thanks a lot for the pics and detail. It worked. Very easy to work with the piece secured to the background. Pins get in your way and "hurt" once in a while.
I started the stems. started with the tiniest!
