NEW! BOM with Quilt Story Quilt-Along
#91
I joined late AND decided to make my blocks using my "new" treadle machine and stash. I decided to stay very simple with my blocks just in case I had trouble with the treadle. My only requirement to myself was to try and stay with shades of browns so I can outline my blocks in a neutral tan and hopefully come out with a sampler quilt in the end. He's my 9 patch. The color didn't come out exactly right. There is a brown shade behind the cherries.

Ok, I love this, I think I have signed up by sending an email asking to be put on the list.
I hope I am not late, it's March but the last half.
As I am sitting here, I am thinking of a color combo I have in my stash but was wondering about fabric requirements.
I mean scrappy is good, I would like to carry a color theme.
Who can tell me where to find fabric requirements and the March block?

Quilt story
No requirements
I put together an assortment of stash that looks nice together, to use for all blocks.
You choose the blocks that fit the theme. So March is any 9 patch from simple to complex.
April is any HST, etc. Fun!!

At the end of the 12 months, if you piece the blocks the size will be 35" x 46.5". If you would like a larger quilt top you can add more blocks, sashing and/or borders. You will need to calculate those numbers for yourself depending on what you want to do. I probably will make my quilt larger than 35" x 46.5" but I have not decided yet exactly how.
Fabric Requirements for twelve 12" pieced blocks:
1/3 yard cuts of 2 different prints
1/2 yard cuts of 4 different prints
3/4 yards of a solid

Heather & Megan over at QuiltStory posted their April blocks for this BOM. Take a look; they are very pretty! I'm still a bit behind, after being out of town for almost 3 weeks, and my carpal tunnel surgery(left hand) this morning, which went well. My fingers are still numb, as the doctor said they would be, but I'm hoping to do some sewing maybe in a day or two.
I"m loving all the blocks being made for this BOM.
