The new block was fun...Here are the four I've made so far using the coordinated FQ pack I had on hand. Having to watch contrast with these fabrics, but I think they will be fine in a sashed quilt.

I agree, very nice, and looks so perfectly done. How do you get things so even.

Okay, here is the first block. With a bit of a story...a lady donated about 12 totes of material to my quilt group from her mother that had passed away. For several meetings, the leader brought in a few totes at a time and laid out the material on tables. We could look but not touch. We had our meeting and then everyone could pick whatever they wanted out the the stuff. By the time we had gone thru every tote, there was about 5 totes left of material no one wanted. It was given to me to give to someone that was having adjustment problems to keep her busy making tops we were going to sandwich as a group and donate to fire departments. It was good for her, helped pull her back up. I labeled it ugly material because no one wanted it. So this person and I slowly pick thru these and are making donation tops. The block with the flowery material was all from the ugly totes. As you can see, it doesn't look the same once you start cutting it up. The other one is from my own stash. I have decided to make two of each this way as I whittle down my stash and the same with the ugly material. Now...onto block 2.

AnngelAnne, it's far from perfect. Two of the dark blue part of the geese did not go together as it should have. Unfortunately I didn't notice it until the block was all sewn together, but it is what it is. I will just have to be more careful next time.

After I was finished with this block, I had an adult beverage!!!
