I'm right with you Juanita...still struggling with the bassister block. I am doing a second one and thinking that this one is going to come out the wrong size just like the first one did. So I will finish it and just leave it for now and deal with it at the end when all the blocks are done and see how things go from there. As I said, no stress, won't let it get to me, will post pictures before the weekend is out on how they come out, so if it looks smaller, its because it is. I will just sit back and bask in the warmth of the fact I did it, got them done on time and love the colors......of the teal one at least.

Anyone here going to the Quiltcon in Savannah? I'm close and will be heading over tomorrow, then on to a class tomorrow night. I can't wait! I've been looking forward to this for a while now

Just wanting clarification--we only have to make one of the blocks, and as long as we post a picture of it, we can participate the following month? I ask because I have no intention of making the barrister block. Some months I may feel inspired to do more than one kind of block, but not this time.

Kathryn, those are really pretty...nice job. HAHAHA Zozee, you are correct. You can do either block and post..This is for fun, no stress (right, Kathryn?). That Barrister was a doozie for sure..lolo It does turn out pretty tho, sometimes we have to stretch ourselves, my achilles heel is paper piecing.., but I do try it once in a while, for just one block..

Glad to see everyone trying, keep up the good work..

Tomorrow project. I plan to do both blocks.

FYI, I drove home to light snow flurries. I should have kept my mouth shut. It is now down to 23f. I know it could be worse. I could live further north. LoL.

Kathryn, such pretty blocks! Trying to get myself in gear to make the Barrister block, I still plan to make it this weekend.

The cold temperatures you gals north of me are receiving is headed this way this evening, supposed to get down to around 38*. Brrrrr

Here are all my blocks for Jan & Feb. I have verified again that I have to square up all those little HST's no matter how close I think they are! This would have saved me ripping every seam when I sewed them together. Oh well, Jack and I are becoming closer every time I sew.
