I'm sure this is a stupid question but we cut WOF verses using the scraps? I wait to use the scraps until you tell us?

I used some of my scraps for my "B" blocks and didn't have to use one of the WOF strips. Also when I started cutting my "C" blocks, I only used 3 WOF strips for the 20 blocks - 10 to use with "A" and 10 to use with "B".

Kassaundra How do you make chocolate wine???? I need to know this one.

Sounds to good to be true. does it taste chocolatey? is it hard to do?

Just dbl checked, and if i'm really careful, i should have enough b to finish this quilt. I can't wait any more. it's almost a whole week till our next clue.

Judy, you had me a little confused when I first read the instructions but I think I have it right. It is A-C and B-C isn't it? Here are my blocks for this week.

This is my first time, I made 2.5 gallons it took 1 8 oz can of cocoa powder, 2 bags of frozen strawberries, and 2 whole bananas (skin and all) and 3lbs of sugar. (along w/ usual yeast, nutrient, campden). It has finished fermenting now but is still "making" it has to settle and age, then be separated from the particulates that settle out. I did sneak a taste when I took the water lock off and it had a very nice chocolate flavor, it isn't going to have the deep color of chocolate though. The flavors haven't matured yet, but it seems from my first taste it is going to be really good, especially as a chilled dessert wine.

    Wine making is very easy

This is what it looked like when I first started it

This is it before fermenting was finished

It looks different now, lighter in color more translucent.

I only have a couple of inches, too. Hopefully we can make do with the leftovers from the other strips...
