Here is how I made it. Fair warning I am not much of a measurer, I am more the splash of this or dash of that, or to taste kinda gal. But this is basically what I did.

Put two bags of frozen strawberries and two cut (sliced) bananas in a covered container for a couple of days (mash them up when they thaw. When ready pour through strainer, take pulp put in pan cover w/ water an heat (not boil) I am cooking out the flavors and colors then strain liquid out, I did this a few times, you will see and smell when pulp is exhausted. This liquid goes in fermenter, then combine enough water (to make 2.5 gallons liquid) w/ 8 oz cocoa powder and 3-4 lbs sugar, heat to dissolve sugar and cocoa, add this liquid to the fermenter too. (you can do it in batches ) works easier to mix dry sugar and cocoa then add water.

Add 2 campden tabs crushed, wait 1-2 days (no less then 24 hours) next add nutrient 1 tbsp., and wine yeast, ferment and rack as you normally would.

I have gone back and found all of the mysteries from Judy. I have completed one and this one we are working on is my second. I am going to do the other 5 as my winter projects. I love the look of the carpenter star.

When it gets to this place in the mystery, the excitement really builds. Wonder if the pattern will start to come together this clue.

I remember when we did the carpenters star we had all these sub-assemblies and thought we would be able to guess with the next clue....................and lo and behold the next clue was the pieced (piano key ) border. I just know it will be a mystery till the next to last clue. But I wish we could have a week of Saturdays.

Well, Emma and Sunlite, I think that pretty soon the mystery will be over. Maybe not this week, but closer next week. Then all will be revealed.

Sunlite, had fun doing that star mystery and keeping everyone guessing. You had all these funky pieces, and then I has you do the border before you saw how to put it all together.

Argh, I am so behind, I need to get some stars done and posted. I'm in love with all the pretties that keep popping up. Oh and the food isn't bad either!
