Moonrise, wow, your fabrics are really playing well together.
Dedemac, thanks for the idea to use Command strips. Just last night I was gathering up all mine & thought I need to have a better storage plan.

The Command strips that have the metal hooks are great. Just make sure you clean the wall well with alcohol, I know they are not for wall paper, but mine are staying nicely on the wall. I have used them in many rooms. Just look to see how much weight each version holds, and choose accordingly. My problem is my 2.5 and 1.5 rulers don't have holes!

My rulers are stored on one wall. I use dull sewing machine needles as hangers. They make very small holes and are very strong. But still some rulers do go missing and of course reappear.

Dedemac, make a small pocket and add a hanging tab to it for the really little rulers to go inside. Then you can just hang them with the others. I have a piece of 2"x4" wood I sawed some slots into at an angle and it sits by my cutting table. Very handy for small and even a few often used big rulers.

    beautiful, moonrise.

I too use Command hooks for hanging stuff like stencils and long things that don't fit on the ruler rack, and also put up something that I bought at home depot for the carry bags. These are on the back of the closet door in my sewing room. The rack for the rulers is something I made and sits on the work counter.

I also use the command hooks and expandable curtain rod for hanging quilts. When I want to change the quilt and don't want the rod to stick out, or if the new quilt is too large for the hook arrangement, I simply pull off the new Command hook and stick on a new strip. Caution -- make sure you pull down when removin the strip or you may tear off the top layer of your plaster and paint!

    very pretty, heylillian

lawsonmugs, I didn't have anything thick like a 2 x 4 which is what I was looking for when I made the ruler holder, but didn't want to have to go and buy a whole piece!
