Sulabug, Love your quilt. Those colors are so pretty together. I look and look for these mistakes and I guess they are in the star centers, right? To me that is no big deal, adds some character. There is no such thing as "quilt police". Besides there is nothing perfect this side of Glory. Which brings up a big pet peeve of mine and that is the use of the word 'perfect'. There is nothing perfect. People are just too lazy to come up with an appropriate word to replace it. (Just my 2 cents.)

Sulabug: Turned out great. What is it about certain shades of purple and oranges? Love the way they play together.
Angelia: Thanks for the heads up on the gallery. What a collection of eye candy. Would love to see #7 all together. I' be willing to put in the time if someone knows how it's done.

Miss Bug---it looks great. love it, and it's not noticeable.
If someone says something about it, tell them you ment to do it.
    I love the colors together.

I LOVE all the quilts posted so far! I haven't had a chance to even start mine, but will eventually be able to after the next train ride.....or maybe even during that ride! As for all the "mistakes" in everyone's quilt tops, if we can't find them easily, then a non-quilter will never even know about it. Don't worry about it.

Angelia: Thanks for posting the resource. Just sent a PM to Cat-on-a-Mac asking if an album can be assembled. I'll let you all know when I receive a reply.

Thank you both for your compliments on my avatar

The pattern is basically a modified tumbling blocks.

Last year I did the Craftsy BOTM, and one month the block was 'simple' tumbling blocks. Since I had previously made a quilt with this pattern, I decided to challenge myself a bit more by making see-through or 'glass' tumbling blocks instead.

I had some time before seen a tutorial somewhere online on making these and had taken screen-shots of the templates for reference. I'm sorry I can't recall where I saw it, so can't credit the author, but it was probably you-tube.

I did find after a couple of months of the BOTM I was modifying most of the monthly blocks . For instance one month was to be an appliqué basket, which I didn't really like, but I did want to practice the technique for making the handles, so I made several handles and wove the into an appliqué celtic knot! So my final product bears little resemblance to the Craftsy published quilt .

    Cheers, K

Sorry I don't know why the attachments have gone in like that - I added them the same way as usual!

    I'll try again

Hopefully you'll be able to see them this time!

    cheers, K
