white pine - i imagine you are using what I called the stripo tube ruler, and someone, was it you?, called it wonder ruler or something like that.

Yup there are far more than one way to conquer the proverbial beast.

But I only have a yard of the dark red on the left. Would that be enough?

Edited to add: I just remembered that Jenny has a video on how to cut a tube with a regular square ruler, in case anyone is interested -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOWS...eature=related
Bat, when you figure out that size, let me know, that would be the fastest.

Yep, Judy. I'm using the Wonder Cut Ruler. It is fast and makes efficient use of fabric.

It would help if you could place your white & black with the group, put your fabrics in order. I like the fabrics alot.

Thank you everyone for your compliments. I didn't use Judy's method. I had never seen it before. I will try it just not on this one, wanted to stay in my comfort zone as I needed them to be perfect. I cut 2-1/2 inch strips and used my easy angle and companion angle rulers to make the half and quarter square triangles. I cut the squares with my normal ruler. My flying geese and HSTs came out perfect.

Nana2ten, I have that same blue flower fabric. I love it and used it with yellow for a lot of different things. Good choice!
