I hope the blocks are 8.5, because that is what I did for the first one. I'm not that good at flying geese either so I took the One Seam Flying Geese route. I saw a video the other day on it, 4.5 inch in between the two 2.5 inch, you end up with pockets on your point, but that doesn't matter to me. The first pic is of the 4.5 inch blocks we did last week and the second is the star.

Well I'm almost caught up. I did the HST and made one star block to make sure I was doing it right. I won't be able to work on the rest until Saturday. I also use the fast flying geese method and love it! When I do it the regular way I also sew a scant 1/4" away from my drawn line toward the throw away part before I cut it off so I have a smaller HST when they are cut apart, then just need to square up for another project. I LOVE the purple and teal blocks

Your star came out sooooo perfect. mine aren't all that perfect. had to take a bite out of some of them. Frustrating, since i pinned so well. Oh well, off to look for the next clue.

Here are pictures of my blocks. The first is the regular version, and the second is my scrappy experiment.

OOOH! As a passenger on this train, I am loving the views, all of them, scrappy to monochromatic, to the carefully chosen fabrics. What a great ride! I'm going to have to bring some shrimp remoulade salad to the train car. Let you gals taste a little southern treat.

    Ok,

Judy please let me know if the colors are in a good order? I was just not happy with the first green.

The first one is more purple than blue, but the rest are fairly accurate. The mix makes me smile and looks happy together. If this is good I will start cutting and catch up.

Does any one know when the double posting of the pictures will be fixed?
