I thought I would see if I could catch up with at least Step 2. Here are my HST. Judy, starting out with a 5" square was the best idea. They came out perfect after trimming them to 4 1/2"
I don't understand why the picture is so blurry. Oh well.

Default Busy day yesterday with all the postings!

I almost hesitate to suggest switching fabrics after sdeaaz but we PMed and she is going to put navy on the flying geese backgrounds and it will look great, and will look like it belongs there.

Anoka - maybe, if you have enough, you could switch green (your E) and the print (your C)? By now everyone knows that the E will be a visible color.

Sadie - perfect timing for both of us! I love scrappy, started doing them when I had been given a ton of sraps that I used to make charity quilts. I was uncomfortable at first, then just whaled in and did it. Now, I rarely do controlled scrappy, just grab and sew unless I've pulled the same scrap for a block I am working on. But I know some people are uncomfortable with scrappy.

FYI - some of the gals who did previous scrappy mystery of mine PMed me to say they were hesitant at first but now love the process. With fabric so expensive these days, it is foolish to let it languish in a closet.

Vickie - this is what i love about mysteries - how the quilts can all look so different with everyone following the same pattern. And I do the same with unuseable scraps -- pet beds.

Everyone interested - look for a new mystery starting in january. With the holidays galloping towards us, it will give us something to start the new year with and to get over the winter blahs.

Bluelady - double wow - beautiful blocks

Sunlite - you never cease to make me smile and laugh out loud

    Coopah - we miss you

Belfry - no, I didn't take anything down - unable to do that, only administration can do so.

    Emma - LOL ROTF

And to end this I will post my latest scrappy, another charity quilt, it is 40 x 55''. But rest assured, my next mystery will not be a star! Got something else for you in mind.

Thank you, Angelia, i really like this one, the center especially.

For anyone interested in another scrappy that is sooooo easy and something you can do a bit at a time, make a block or two and put it aside -- Tiddlywinks by Roxanne Carter. I just googled this and found the pattern, sorry I don't have the web address to share with you. Someone on the board had posted a picture of her quilt, it was a free pattern. I've made 3 of them now. I guess sawtooth and tiddlywinks are my two new favorites!

Judy beautiful quilt. You are a wonderful host. We missed you when you left the pin cush. Swap. Lauriejo was a wonderful host while she ran it. We just don't understand the way she left it. Klaws has taken over and we are all very happy with her.it takes your time and can be frustrating and you get nothing but a few thanks for doing the job. I for one really appreciate all you hosts do for us. Thanks to all of you past and present .

Here are my stars, not sure whether i like them much yet, but surprisingly my DH does! I am so enjoying the process of doing a bit and then waiting, it is a lovely way to quilt along with everyone.

Here are a couple--lots more if you search images. I haven't made one yet, but I'm looking forward to trying it.
