Jupiter - now that you have done both 12 and 6 inch blocks, is the larger size easier to work with using the templates or not?

Here's my block for this week.
How pretty! Great job Deecee! I love how the foundation block pattern is peeking out of the middle...

DeeCee that is gorgeous! I love your colors, and of course the pattern. Great job. Was the foundation a 9patch?

    Thank you.

The foundation for this block was just a 6-1/2 square. I fussy cut to centre the flower. My focus fabric is Jinny Beyer's Sofia range plus a mix of whatever golds I have in my stash.

The size really doesn't make much difference in how hard or how well the blocks turn out. As I said before, the 12" blocks leave a lot of excess fabric in the layers but can be trimmed out and used for another project. The 6" blocks look like you worked harder because all that 'stuff' is in a smaller area, and so looks harder to do. In fact, it is not.

    hugs, Jupiter

Lovely! I love how the little medallions are perfectly placed on your foundation square! That worked out great.

Yes, I'm using the fussy cut template that Penny recommends.
