Very pretty blocks Irene! I love your colors - so soothing.

I couldn't open the QB either last night or this morning before I went to work - just kept getting "server error".

    I went into withdrawal!

The first thing I did when I got home was check again - and here you all are.

Irene I love your blocks. I noticed that I was using more of some fabrics than others so now I pin them all on my design wall so I can keep track.

    Hi Laura,

I am soooo happy that the furry quilt inspector loves your blocks so very much. She is no doubt dropping hints that she wants the finished project for her very own! lol

    Really pretty.

Deecee - what a beautiful collection of blocks! I love how the green ties them all together. Beautiful work!

Here are my blocks - I took a picture of all 10. I put them on the "busy" brown fabric that I've been using since I'm now leaning toward using that as my sashing. I really love it and I bought more for another project - so I made sure to get enough to sash these blocks when it's time.

I ended up redoing my cathedral window with the lighter red and I'm happier with it now. I am going to leave Rosellen's Cross alone - I'm happier with the colors now - except to restitch it with my applique thread. I didn't have the applique thread yet when I did that one and the cotton really shows up.

    Hi Irene,

Your blocks are stacking up to be a very nice collection. I just went back to page 39 to see your first 5 blocks. A slight tilt in a photo just gives 'life' to the project! lol Very pretty.

    hugs, Jup

I took a photo of the last 5 blocks completed since we posted the first 5 previously so here are my last 5 completed. The first of these 5 doesn't even look like it goes with the others...
I'm also noticing that not only do I sew crooked, my photos come out crooked also.

    Tinker,
I live in the southwest so it is pretty easy to find Indian design fabric. The problem is usually trying to decide which to buy. For these designs, I ended up buying about 4 different southwest fabrics.

Jupiter both your collections look beautiful and so different to each other.

The bee on your nosegay is just the icing on the cake!

I have a tiny gold bee charm in the cupboard and now he is just buzzing to follow your lead.

I like the way your blue collection is on point also. Definitely something to think about.

Great job catching up Jupiter! Both of your collections are beautiful! I just love looking at all of these blocks together.

I never thought of trying the blocks on-point, but yours look really nice that way. Are you planning to set them on-point?

I hadn't really given much thought to which way the blocks would set in the final quilt, but I agree, on point is interesting.

I am planning to make the 6" blocks into the star pattern at the back of our book. The 12" blocks are way too big for that, so on point is probably a really great way to set them.

    Happy Easter hugs,
    Jup
