Carrie...I really like your sashing with the blocks you have there. It will be beautiful in your living room.

My I join in here and also say a blender red might be best. A more dominant print tends to fight with all the many lovely prints in the blocks. The idea of sashing is to frame the beautiful blocks, not detract from them. JMHO...

OMG and to think I missed this last night!
CarrieM ... what a wonderful opportunity and experience for you to meet LAH and see the "original" FWS and PC quilts!! Hope you'll get LOTS of photos and be ready to tell us all about LAH and her quilts .... and any tips and hints you gather. Be sure to tell her you are part of this group and say hello from all of us!

All ... I think CarrieM will have to be a "guest speaker" on a coming thread!

OKSGlad ... hhmmmmmm ... roadtrip with DH will be over with today/Sunday ... so maybe you'd better head off on a road trip again tmro/Monday. This close ... how can you miss?

Yeah well my road trip is over for the day. We took a 2+ hour drive south, hooked onto a soil finisher and drove back home. All in all a 7 hour trip--no stops on the way home and going 30-35 mph. I have no intention of getting on the road again especially after my Wed/Thurs drive. I did stop at a LQS for a few minutes while on that trip. Now have to get back to my real world. I'm beat--later folks.

Ahhhh tis the time of the year that the farmer gets the itch for new equipment and to start "scratching" the soil! I can just imagine the mindset of some of my neighbours about now.

Yes, those equipment hauls can be long and gruelling! Some "bonding" time for the two of you? Oh please do tell me OKSGlad, that the LQS stop was AFTER the finisher was hooked to the truck?? And ...... spill, any LQS purchases??
