Hate when that happens! I am working on that one tonight. Not trimming the outsides until I have it all together.

sandpat 02-15-2010 04:58 PM

Duh...I didn't mean to trim it until I was totally finished...but...I replaced the bottom section and it is fine...still crooked though...A lot of my tri's seem to go crooked...why is that?

have you tried ironing it to see if you can persuade it into shape, it doesn't look terminal does it?

Sheree from Chicago 02-15-2010 08:05 PM

A "little persuasion" can go a long way!

Sandpat you make me smile! Love your fabric/triangle.

That happens to me alot. What number is that one? I can't find it.

sandpat 02-16-2010 05:46 AM

Its RS11 and I have "fixed" it as best I can. The thing is that I try so hard to sew exactly on the line....I go slowly...etc and yet on these tris...they all seem to want to go kinda crooked on me. Oh...they will be used anyway because I can't seem to fix the problem and dad burnit...I worked HARD on them!

Oh and thanks Sheree!

Sandpat, I feel your pain...I'm wondering if when you are sewing, if your machine is taking the last big and curving it? Put another piece of fabric behind your fabric as you get toward the end. You get less threads running around and I think the edges stay much straighter. Have you tried that before? With these small pieces, every little bit seems to make a difference.
