Well done Jan, another little milestone done.

And for those of you who are further back, don't get disheartened, just keep doing these little blocks as often as you can, and they will soon grow into a nice pile of them.

Well done Jan, I am looking forward to seeing yours.

I took mine to my club today for a bit of advice and they all thought that I needed to continue my sashing all the way around, you see I am not doing the original border but an applique one and I must admit it looks a lot better.

All I am going to say is, you get the centre finished and you think great, you think you have cracked it and then the border has to get done, this might take some time ....wiping brow.....this has been the hardest of all the quilts I have made, however i will finish it, but you are all going to have to wait a while for pics. The cutting out of the applique is a job and a half

Aaah, but when you have it done, you will have such a huge sense of achievement, AND a unique version!

I just joined the Board and I saw this BOM. I bought the book in 2003 when I was in New England and I saw the quilt on display. I have been intimidated about making all of those little squares. I ordered the Dear Jane software today and I will be trying to work on it while I do my AOTH quilt. I hope to have some free time this summer and hopefully I can devote it to quilting.

Hi, Losie. Welcome to this group - quite a few of the Affairs of the Heart Cyber Sew are here, too! REally nifty group! I am finishing up the hand quilting of my baby Jane that I began in 1997. This group spurred me on to finishing all the hand piecing & getting the quilting underway. It's beginning to get too warm to hand quilt anything, so I'll probably set her aside for the next 6 months. That's been the story of her life. We'll be here for you, though.

Welcome Losie, don't forget to post pics as you go would love to see more starters.

Pat - never thought of appliqueing it, think I will give it one more try (I'm a sucker) and then try the applique if it doesn't work this time.
