I love how we can all take the exact same starting pattern and they all turn out completely different. Beautiful baskets!

You're all making me feel like I'm running behind! I won't be able to make one until after next week -- thanks for all the inspiration from the photos here.

I have finished 2 more of the boxes, the beige/brown box is made from Duponi Silk. I started with a 12" block and 2" side seams. The white/blue sewing box was a 12 1/2" square with 21/2" side seams. I am thinking I will use them and add a coffee mug and a rolled up mugrug for gifts. I love this pattern.

Is there anywhere that has the sizes to start, like a 9" square, to the measurements it will end up? like 3x3x3??? |
Seems to me the original directions told how to figure the sizes, but I'm not sure.I'll check out where I got my pattern from I think it is the same as on here. Just a different site posting them. Maybe it was in a blog or something....

I do like yours! Love the dangling decoration. Yep, good idea with the mug rug and cup.

jaba, if you look in the Quilt Board, under " 1 January 2014 Block/Project of the Month Directions" you will find where to download the pattern from "seaside stitches.BlogSpot.com".
