I LOVE the idea of a calendar quilt! Each month representing that month...Jan...winter...Feb...Valentine's...Mar...s pring...etc. It give so much room and leeway? Some have recently done dogs and cats in funky swaps this year? I did dogs, but not the cats.

Well I suppose the calender idea would still work for some of us Internationals - we would just have to call them a different month eg. your winter block would be for our July, so we could just do all the blocks and then rearrange them to suit our calendar.

Great blocks Crlyn and Rwquilts. And I liked the window interpretation, RW. I would never have thought of that.
I have really enjoyed doing these buildings this year and seeing everyone's interpretations.

HobbyKat1955, Love your castle & all your blocks. I counted 15 blocks, so what are you going to do with the extras or how are you going to lay them out? Just trying to get ideas for mine.

The first 3 I did dups intended on doing a second quiit but then I got behind so just getting one done was enough. Then of course they aren't the same size...some are some aren't. I'll use them all but as you can see they all need a fabric that will bring them all together.
I'm thinking two ways either add a border fabric to all at their current sizes and then offset each block with smaller blocks. So they won't be in a row but each block offset in an uneven theme. Or just add the matching fabric and make them all the same size which would be 15x15 or 16x16 since the Barn is the largest at 14x14 so I'd just add 1-2 inches to that. It's diff going to be a brain teaser. I'm tending towards offset/uneven look...then I don't have to worry abt matching seams....That's the ticket
