Hi everyone!! NO, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth -- it just feels that way right now! I can't wait until I get a place to call my own so we can have some privacy and get back to some semblance of "normal" -- whatever that is!

I have two more blocks to go to complete my center. I found some fabric to use for the narrow border. I sure wish I could post a picture, but I'm having to use my stepfather's computer, and he has it so junked up that it moves at a snail's pace -- when it moves at all!!

I really miss getting to chat with everyone. When we can get a place of our own, I will be back online with a flurry!!!

Take care and know that I miss you and I'm still working on my blocks!

Edit: I just noticed that I've lost my "Regular" status.

I am in for Little Brown Bird, just bought the book and the cd. Looks like something that will really be an heirloom. I would probably do better with a group to edge me on and inspire me.

Kathy - I see you mentioned something about the Little Brown Bird quilt by Margaret Docherty - planning to do that one?? I keep drooling over her book I bought a few years back.

I guess I should be working on AOTH again??

Nice write ups, but no pics of quilts! Don't they know they would sell more copies if they had pics of the quilts? I bet you will be glad you can get back to your AOTH though, and it will be great if you want to jump in with LBB when you have done the AOTH.

Week #18 - didn't week #17 go by fast? The schedule calls for the side borders. What are you thinking about doing for these little borders? Remember that you can make your border any width you want. Just don't forget to make the sashings the same width. Since I didn't create a thread for posting photos of the inner borders, you can post them right here & and here is my pic.

Happy Stitching!

Today was a productive day for me. I have been engineering (notice I didn't say designing - that would indicate I had some fun!) my biggie borders. I thought I'd never get done, but they are all marked - well mostly marked. The areas where the borders join aren't marked as I need to wait until I sew them together. I drove myself nuts trying to get all the curly wurlies going in the same direction & finally gave up and put them any old way! My OCD isn't THAT bad!!! :-) Started to embroider one border, but ran into a problem in that I worried what would happen if I didn't get the heart exactly where it needed to be & the embroidery would be off. Sooooo, I'm back to appliqueing again, then embroidery. I also have cut the final shark tooth border, but still need to mark it & fold & press it. It can be a take along project to work.

well, I had to take part of my house apart for the high speed I was supposed to be getting.
Nope...repairman says he is the final one to know and to be told the order was placed. Equipment just doesn't reach us yet.
Ok, but in the meantime, we are doing a bit of a redo on sewing room, so I am not sewing right now.
On top of that, I am the only one to play chauffeur to a very pg niece.
Wish I had a center to show, but when I do...I will :XD:
You think I'd give up, but you can't run me off that easily ;)
