kinda like you Gus. i haven't been able to work on mine in about a month. grandbabies to watch and other things. now DH adn DS are both sick so am playing caregiver to the max. i still manage to make time to catch up with all my quilty sisters tho

Deecee 02-06-2012 12:16 PM

Bogged down here too. Two new grandbabies in the last 6 months, DH been in hospital with ongoing problems and flat out at work. I have only done four blocks but am trying to get back into it.

Too many commitments and not enough time to do more than catch up on the threads.

Good to see you back.

Hey Gus....I'm still plugging on mine. Just keep adding more irons, but I'm on the outside border. I've gotten it quilted to that point as well though...so maybe I'll finish it in this lifetime.

Good luck to those dealing with less that happy health issues!

here are my first 6 completed... i'm loving this sew along!!

I love your blocks and your fabric is beautiful. I haven't touched mine in several weeks; I am working on 2 other quilts that must be done before May. I can't wait to get back to my quilt and finish it.

Got the book today. Yipeee!!!! Need to get the tracing paper and a few other supplies, hope to get started next week.
Anyone have any tips not in the book, or favourite thread to use??
I hope I can do the patterns justice, everyone here has done an awesome job:thumbup:

I have jumped in, finally. I am just finishing my third block. I am doing needle turn applique and will post my first three as soon as I complete the third.

Hi Woody and Joy. Are you following or intending to follow Kathy's original schedule (posted on page 1 of this thread) or are you starting from #1 in the book or being random?

Just asking out of curiosity as I started following the schedule but have only done four blocks and have been wondering whether to just pick and choose or follow the book or stick with the schedule.

I have just enlarged to 142% and printed out patterns 1 to 10 so I will do those first and see how I go. I plan to use batiks on a black background. Looking forward to finding the time to actually start LOL
