To keep track of all that y'all are doing seems a bit dizzying to me but I can ohhh and awww at your posts. And your blocks are beautiful no matter which colors you are using.

Great you are back with us. So glad your Op went well, that seems so quick to be back at work. Take care, nice to see you again. Elle

Ooops! I am not back at work, I am using my desktop computer at home for the first time. LOL No, things are too weird yet. Alas, though, my work is at home on the farm... However, it does seem that my recovery is going very quickly and I am so thankful for that. Not up to sewing but at least beginning to 'feel' like sewing again.

I am pretty sure it is time for a nap though... see ya later. :-D
PS: I am having to retype almost every other word. Not fun. lol :?

Hi, I am glad also that you are doing well- from the other Linda

thanks for the nice comments, just want to be sure I am on the right track before I get rolling and have to "UN-SEW" anything.

Looks great, Pattis47. Aren't they fun to do? What size are you making?

QuiltswithConvicts 03-20-2011 08:04 AM

Patt - beautiful! Just my kind of color choices! Are you doing the 7" size or have you enlarged the pattern a bit?

Obsessed 03-20-2011 08:25 AM

Great job Pattis47! That blue you're using just glows... beautiful!

Oh, Hi Linda of the West! Thank you and are you doing this AOTH quilt too? Cool. Guess I missed out on that while I was gone. I feel so behind and it isn't even June yet!

Lesley, you once thought I could be in the JTG group. Scratching my head over that one! LOL, LOL

Linda, don't feel that you are behind. While you were "resting," several of us have formed a JTG club (Jumped The Gun) by getting a head start on the blocks. As you might have figured, Lesley is leading the pack by going great guns. While she is stitching, she is also taking tons of pictures so she can post different things to help those who might get stuck on a particular item. I put up a tutorial on my method of machine applique, so I sort of JTGd. Just like our Dear Jane blocks, these blocks grab you and won't let go until you have made a few of them & by then, you're hooked and don't want to stop!

I don't know if you have discovered it or not, but we now have a virtual section all to ourselves! Patti suggested it & Patrice made it happen. Everything AOTH-related will be found under this section. The easiest way to get there is go to the bottom OF ANY PAGE and click on Topic Lists. Affairs of the Heart is at the top!!! Click on it & a list of all our AOTH related topics will be there. No more searching away our life looking for a thread.

How are you feeling today?

candi 03-20-2011 11:46 AM

Patti, love your colors and your block looks awesome!

At first, the JTG club made me feel behind and nervous, then I realized, hey, it is like biking with my husband,, I ALWAYS catch up

Wow, you have thought of everything that will help me (and others, I know). I have had visions of applique swirling around in my head. Kinda of nice.

As to how I feel today. Better! So thankful. Even want to start sewing. However, bills are staring... no, they are glaring at me. I feel pretty good today. Not able to sit at the computer as long as I might like. I know that will come. I have been sleeping really, really well. That helps I am sure. I have some funky chicken blocks to work on so I may experiment with machine applique tomorrow. Get my staples out on Tuesday. That sounds like fun, huh?

You all are so helpful and so much fun to be with. Thank you for all of your encouragement!   :-D
