Yes, the unfinished block is 6-1/2 inches. When you use Quilt Assistant you need to tell it the block size is 6-1/2.
Edited after Suzanne's post: Set the block size at 6" and then in the print dialog box, tell it to show seam allowance (1/4") |

Actually Suzanne got it right. I'd forgotten. You set up the block as six inches, but in the print box (I think) you tell it you want 1/4" seam allowance. Thanks Suzanne!

I have downloaded the Quilt Assistant program. I found it very easy to use. My question. Do I need to set my blocks as 6 1/2" blocks when I set this up? I tried 6" blocks, but it did not give me the 1/4" border around .... it came out 6" and that was it. I find this a little confusing. The FW quilt blocks say they are 6", and yes they are when sewn together, but when we make them they come out 6 1/2". I hope this makes sense! You set the block to be 6". In the print menu you will check "set seam allowances 1/4". When you click Quick Preview you will see the 1/4" seam allowances on each paper piece section,. |

Finally done. Changed #18 because it was popping too much and annoying me. Will use its original Cylon form in BF's next deployment blanket.
