Worth waiting for JanieW-beautiful blocks. Love the soft blues you used and your points!! Great job.
Oh Janie, those are fabulous! Great job!
And we've missed you too, JanieW ... spectacular blocks to come back with too! So soft and fresh ... and sharp and pointy in the right places!! :) With company gone, gardening caught up ... and the giant meccano set put together ... you can now get back in the quilting saddle!!! :)
JanieW your blocks are beautiful
JanieW, great job on your blocks! Beautiful colors.
JanieW...I love your blocks. Very well done and the colors are so serene and calming. Great contrast too.

Looks like your company didn't slow you down too much.....lovely blocks....:)

Thanks for the compliments, everyone. I hope this week I will be able to post the pictures on time!

Nice! A good way ta post.

Oh my such pretty colors GrannyQ! Love them!
GrannyQ....your fabric choices give the blocks such a different look! Both are really pretty. I'm learning so much by seeing how others put colors and their values together!
As Ggal said--your blues give a new interpretation to every block, GrannyQ. Another set of lovelies.
Beautiful block, GrannyQ. Worth waiting for; love the block!!
Lovely block grannyQ, just beautiful!

I finally made the flying clouds :D
Beautiful; it looks like a flying cloud!!
And Anael, you made it look like clouds! Very nice.
Thank you QNS and gardnergal! It's not a masterpiece, wonky and it looks like the weather hasn't been nice shortly before the block went together :D There's hardly any straight line!
I love how ya took this one literally! Lovely!
Never seen a "straight line" in Mother Nature. Just in comedy acts. Please never look at my blocks for straight lines; between and the actual block and trying to take the picture, things just simply "move" wonky. That's my story and I am sticking to it.
Love the new 'eye' candy as it pops up during the week, then there is more to see and read all week instead of just Tuesday night and Wednesday. |
Anael, beautiful cloud fabric in your block.
Thank you everyone for the nice comments on my blocks, really enjoying the pony ride. |

You know how the saying goes.."better late than never"!!!! JeanieG....when browsing thru this thread I remember what you said about the getting the blocks correct...I only had to rip out 2 sides!!! I starch all my fabrics before I start and hate when they get all soft from the handling...at one point I was taken back to the FWSQuilt_along and thought I was working on a 6" block...Memories! H

What a lovely block! Rich in color and movement. Makes me think I'm swirling up in the sky.
Today is a beautiful day with that clear blue that only comes in June, dotted by a few fluffy whites floating by. |
Very nice--so much movement out of squares & triangles. Pretty, pretty color combo.
Lovely, lovely block Honchey! (Blue is my favorite color!) Nice contrast & colors. Your seams line up perfectly! Isn't it nice when it all comes tagether well.:)
Lovely clouds, Anne. Every piece is perfect. I "reformed" by clouds and had solid borders instead of the pieced block. I am so glad we can each do our own block our own way in color and piecing and just have fun. Love it and love QB. Although the new posted privacy policy leaves some questions in my mind...cookies tracing where I have been?
Honchey--great block! Really like the dark blue...is it "flames" on the fabric?
Yes, the dark blue has flames...I thought of thunderstorms when I found the scrap....Wow you guys give such nice compliments...I think I'll be late on purpose all the time!!!!
Nina, Please explain what you mean about the private message policy??? |

Nina, Please explain what you mean about the private message policy??? The compliments are well deserved ... and anything I say sounds like I am copying the others. I thought of fluffy white clouds. I loved the movement (and drama) the dark triangles created. Then the richness of the medium blue. As for the piecing, as always incredible work! ditto ... QNSue ... please explain! All I can think of is wanting your BC cookies recipe, and for some strange reason, I don't think you are talking about those cookies! And yes, I still want to make those cookies! :D |
I read those new policies & boy are they confusin'.
I just clicked on "read later"....I had quilting to do and needed to get my music turned on after checking posts quick. :)
