Well I have all but finished my two projects bar a few more stitches and then I will be in the throws of Jane again.

Think I will then start doing 1 or 2 blocks a day to catch up again, seems thats all I have been doing, you gals are just pushing ahead.

Elle...you'll be up to the current week in no time.

Patti I do hope so, go the patterns all cut out ready to go for week 41. Just need a swift kick now and I am away again. Its funny but each time I have had to stop Jane there has been a mental block in getting back into it. As soon as I do one block again I am away but its the getting started, stupid I know and I can totally understand how you felt Patti when you had no more blocks to do I felt the same when my Japanese Fan Quilt was finished, like I was bereft somehow, its so strange.

Looking at J9 looks a bit squiffy, and yes its staying squiffy

Squiffy or not - whatever that means - those are some pretty blocks. You do really lovely work!

I am getting very eager to see everyone's blocks all put together. But you don't need to hurry on my account.

Elle, are you feeling better at all? I wish I could wiggle my nose and turn off your rain & turn it on here, Still haven't had a drop since August. Oh, we did have a smidgen of sleet this past week, but not enough to actually call precipitation. Was melted before 8 AM.

Butterflyspain 12-19-2010 06:14 AM

Oh Kathy, well I think your nose wiggle worked..... LOL it has actually stopped raining, however there is definately more up there waiting.

Squiffy.... means a bit off centre. Good old English word, donīt know if you will find it in the dictionary though.

Week 46 is well on its way ladies. I am motoring, feel a bit better this afternoon probably all the tablets kicking in. Thanks for your good wishes.

Keep wiggling that nose Kathy

Elle..those look lovely! Squiffy or not. (Another new word that I can use to confuse people around here LOL!) Glad the drugs are working...and its probably good that you are on the easy ones with all that in your system. There are some that will showcase your beautiful fabrics really well!

I love it when us Brits can tell you US'ers a 'new' English word.

squiffy (skwif′ē)

adjective squiffier -·fier, squiffiest -·fi·est

Brit., Informal drunk; intoxicated
also squiffed (skwift)
Origin: < dial. skew-whiff, askew, tipsy + -y

Elle used it in the Askew (off centre) context.
