Mary: Had to laugh at your reference to GFG, and so true. I was considerably younger when I started mine. It was before people started doing these beautifully pieced designs. Sure would do something outside the traditional if I were to start today.

Lynnie: Don't know how large your stash is but I pulled every bit of fabric from mine. I can only speak from my experience with #6. The way Judy unfolded the clues it became obvious that I had made a mistake with one of my fabric choices. Didn't have to do any unsewing, just substituted another fabric. I know the first mystery is kind of scary, liking stepping off a cliff, but they really help you step outside your normal box and enlarge your thinking. Judy is very helpful, she tries not to give to much guidance but if you are seriously off track she will gently make a suggestion. I promise you, you will like this, its fun!

Lynnie what Emma said is true. The first post will tell you how much of each fabric you need. example A= 1/2 yd. dark B= FQ of light print.....etc. Judy will show her choices of her fabrics. The next week you get the cutting directions. The next week you do some sewing. It continues each week till you have all the info to finish it. It's fun. I did #6 and it was a terrific table topper. You know Judy from the pin cushion swap. She is a very good host and we had a lot of fun. You should try it. If you aren't able to do one of the weeks instructions. Just write them down so you can keep up. You can always come on the post and get lots of help. Hugs Mary

Hey, Lynnie, nice to see you again. And lawson, too. Are you guys still making pincushions? Still have my shelf in my sewing room with all the cushions you guys made for me, keep saying I need to go back to the swap. But ... life seems to get in the way.

lynnie, what Emma said is spot on. just jump in and go for it!

And no, today i will not tell you what you are going to make -- it will be revealed tomorrow. Hee hee, can't wait!

Can hardly wait to start pulling fabrics from my stash for Mystery Train #7.

Lynnie, You get a double mystery trip. First, the mystery of how it will look in the end, and second, the mystery of how it all works. :) As everyone posts what they have done you'll get plenty of ideas. Sometimes when I'm stumped I just wait for other posts. Judy gives lots of suggestions for fabric selection. I even bought some fabric this summer hoping it would work for the next mystery.

Emma, love the pigs! There is definitely a difference between unfinished stuff and stuff you haven't clue what you will do with.
